WarpLink Analytics: What Changed, and Why

The rebuilt WarpLink Analytics page leads with the answer: how clicks moved against the previous period, where the change came from, and which links need attention. The same numbers reach your AI client over MCP and your scripts over the REST API.

TL;DR: We rebuilt the WarpLink Analytics page around one question: what changed, and why? It now opens with a headline sentence and your key numbers, then a trend against the previous period, a breakdown grid you filter from, and a leaderboard of the links that need attention. Your AI client and your scripts get the same numbers. Open your analytics.

WarpLink is link infrastructure for mobile teams: deep linking, install attribution, and real-time analytics in one SDK. This release is about the third pillar. Below, we walk through one real task from start to finish: your clicks dropped this week, and you want to know why.

Start With the Answer

Open the Analytics page and the first line is a sentence, not a chart. It says how taps moved against the previous period of the same length, and where the change came from. A drop in taps might name one referrer and one country, each with the count it lost. Every name is a chip. Click one and the whole page filters to it.

If one day stands out, a second line names it: the day, its tap count, and how many times the average of the other days it reached. One click zooms the chart to that day.

Under the headline sits the key numbers strip: clicks, unique clicks, installs, tap-to-install rate, and app open share. Each shows its change against the previous period and a sparkline, so you see which number moved before you read any chart.

See the Drop on the Trend

The trend draws the previous period as a second line, bucket by bucket, so the gap between this week and last week is the thing you look at. Switch between hourly, daily, and weekly buckets. Hourly works for windows up to 7 days, weekly for windows of 14 days or more.

Drag across the chart to zoom into the days where the lines split. The query bar above the page reads as a sentence, which links, which period, which filters, so you always know what you are looking at. Copy the view link and a teammate opens the same view.

Find Where It Came From

The breakdown grid covers country, referrer, device, operating system, browser, campaign source, app, and tap source. Each row shows its share, its change against the previous period, and a sparkline. Add a row's value to the filter straight from the grid, or remove it.

Filters combine the way you expect. Check several values in one dimension and any of them matches, up to 25. Check values in more than one dimension and every dimension must match. With two or more values checked, Split draws one line and one total per value, up to five at a time, so two campaigns sit side by side on one chart.

A filtered card keeps the other values of its own dimension visible. Filter to one referrer and the referrer card still lists the rest, so a chosen row never hides its siblings.

The links leaderboard has three tabs. Top movers lists links by change. New this period lists links created in the window. Active but silent lists live links that got no taps under the same filters, which is where a broken placement or an expired campaign shows up first.

To go deeper on a few links, Compare Links puts two to five of them side by side over the same window.

Ask Your AI Client the Same Question

Everything on the page, apart from hover details, zoom, and the view link, is available to machines. The query_analytics tool on the WarpLink MCP server returns the key numbers and headline, the trend, a breakdown, the links leaderboard, and link comparisons. Connect your AI client and ask:

Why did my clicks drop this week, and which country or referrer drove it?

The answer comes from the same query service as the page, so the numbers in your chat match the dashboard for the same window, filters, and time zone. Scripts get the same read from the REST API:

Rates such as tap-to-install come back as a numerator and a denominator, never as a rounded percent. The Analytics API reference lists all seven surfaces.

Your Days, Not UTC

Every organization now sets its own reporting time zone in Settings. Charts bucket and label days in that zone, the current day is marked as in progress rather than shown as a low total, and the API and MCP server use the same zone by default. Exports resolve their date range in that zone and record it in the file, so a later change never relabels a file you already downloaded.

Try It

The rebuilt page is live for every organization on every plan, within your plan's data retention window. Open your analytics, and see the changelog for the full list of changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the headline sentence on the Analytics page say? It states how taps moved against the previous period of the same length, and names where the change came from, such as a country, referrer, or campaign source, with the count each one added or lost. It uses only counts and differences: no adjectives and no guessed causes. If one day stands out, a second line names that day and how far it sat from the average of the other days.

Can I get the same numbers without opening the dashboard? Yes. The query_analytics tool on the WarpLink MCP server and GET /v1/analytics on the REST API read from the same query service as the Analytics page, so the same window, filters, and reporting time zone return the same numbers. Hover details, chart zoom, and copying a view link are the only dashboard-only parts.

Which time zone do the charts use? Your organization's reporting time zone, set in Settings by an owner or admin. Every chart buckets and labels its days in that zone, and the REST API and MCP server use it too unless a request names its own zone.
