Firebase Dynamic Links checker

Find out whether a page.link short link still redirects. In October 2026 we tested 32 real page.link short links: 25 still redirected. Google says every one of these links returns 404.

Paste a link, or a custom domain you used for Dynamic Links.

What this checks

Domain resolves
We look up the page.link or custom domain you entered.
Link response
We request the link and report the status code.
Redirect destination
If the link still redirects, we show where it sends visitors.
Preview page
We report whether the response is the Firebase preview page instead of a redirect.
What Google says
We compare the result with Google's statement that links return 404.

What happened to Firebase Dynamic Links

Google shut down Firebase Dynamic Links on August 25, 2025, and its FAQ says every Dynamic Link now returns 404. On October 8, 2026 we requested 32 real page.link short links from 25 domains found in the September 2026 Common Crawl, the way an iPhone does. 25 still redirected: 15 to the app's own website or store, and 10 to a Firebase preview page. The other 7 returned an error or no redirect. That is not a promise. Redirects that work today can stop without notice, and so can the links in your emails, QR codes and store listings.

This checker requests your link the way a phone does and reports what comes back: the status, the destination, and whether the old preview page appears. Use it to find which links still need a new home before they break.

Frequently asked questions

Google says no. It shut them down on August 25, 2025, and says every link returns 404. In our October 2026 test, 25 of 32 real short links still redirected, but they can stop at any time. Treat every Dynamic Link as one that can fail at any time.

We do not know. Google's statement and what we observe do not match, and we cannot predict when that changes. Moving the links yourself is the only way to control the outcome.

page.link domains belong to Google, so no other service can serve links on them. You recreate each link on your own domain or on a WarpLink subdomain, then update every place the old link appears. A custom domain you own can point to WarpLink instead.

Dynamic Links could show an intermediate preview page on iOS before sending people on. If you see it here, visitors still have an extra step before they reach your content.

Search your app code, email templates, ads, social bios, QR codes and store listings for page.link and for your custom Dynamic Links domain. Our migration guide lists more sources.
